FDA OKs Three Boston Scientific Products
February 25, 2008
Boston Scientific has received FDA approval for the Confient implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD), the Livian cardiac resynchronization therapy defibrillator (CRT-D) and an upgraded Latitude patient management system.
The Confient ICD helps protect patients at risk of sudden death, and the Livian CRT-D provides cardiac resynchronization and defibrillation.
Both devices enable physicians to manage their patients wirelessly on the Latitude system, which notifies physicians of changes in a patient’s status between scheduled follow-ups, Boston Scientific said.
