Medtronic Gets FDA Approval for Thoracic Stent Graft

The FDA has approved Medtronic’s Talent thoracic stent graft, a medical device that provides minimally invasive treatment for certain types of aneurysms of the descending thoracic aorta.

The system makes aortic repairs accessible to an additional 25 percent of patients because of its features, the company said.

It is available in sizes ranging from 22 mm to 46 mm in diameter so it can be customized to treat a broader range of patients.
