Home Diagnostics Gets Approval for Blood Glucose Meters

The FDA gave 510(k) clearance to Home Diagnostics for TRUE2go and TRUEresult, the company’s blood glucose meters for diabetes testing.

The systems feature no-coding technology that simplifies blood glucose testing by eliminating the need for users to code the meter with each new box of test strips. Both products deliver results in as few as four seconds using 0.5 microliters of blood.

Using the small sample size, the technology makes it more convenient and cost-effective for diabetics to test their blood glucose levels more often, the company said.
