Cymbalta Included on FDA New Adverse Event List

Adverse events associated with Eli Lilly’s depression medication Cymbalta and 19 other well-known drugs are included in the first version of what the FDA says will be a regular series of quarterly reports. Cymbalta, a top earner for Lilly, is on the list for urinary retention. The list, which contains many drugs that have been associated with adverse events caused by labeling or packaging confusion, is a mandate imposed on the FDA under last year’s FDA Amendments Act.
