TriReme Gets CE Marking for Antares Coronary Stent System

TriReme Medical received CE Marking for its Antares coronary stent system, a main vessel stent system for use at or near coronary bifurcations. The system can be delivered and deployed in a single step while maintaining access to lesions at or near side branches in the coronary tree. As a result, the cardiologist has greater flexibility of treatment options and the ability to deploy a second stent in the side branch when additional support is necessary, TriReme said. The system has potential to be used in a quarter of the 2.2 million angioplasty procedures performed annually worldwide, the company added.
