Amedica Receives FDA Clearance for Cervical Plate System

The FDA granted Amedica 510(k) clearance for its SEEplate cervical plate system for spinal fixation procedures. The product gives surgeons an alternative to help confirm the secure placement of the anti-back-out mechanism of screws used in a spinal implant system. The implant and related instruments are used to treat degenerative disc disease, spinal stenosis and failed spine fusion surgery, Amedica says.
