MedImmune Cited for FluMist Reminder Ad

CBER issued a violative advertising and promotional labeling letter to MedImmune concerning a reminder ad for the company’s intranasal influenza vaccine FluMist. The letter says MedImmune made claims about the nasal spray vaccine in its “FluMist Now Available” advertisement. The ad states that FluMist is “a needle-free way to vaccinate,” making a representation about the product, which is not allowed in reminder advertising.
