Canon U.S.A. has received 510(k) clearance from the FDA for its CX-1 hybrid mydriatic/nonmydriatic digital retina camera. The device provides up to a 15.1-megapixel resolution and can provide diagnostic images for review almost immediately, the company says. The camera operator can switch between modes and perform several concurrent ocular tests within seconds.
