FDA to Hold Workshop on Pediatric Neurologic Devices

The FDA will sponsor a workshop Sept. 13 on the use and R&D of pediatric neuroprostheses, such as cochlear implants, deep brain stimulators and spinal cord stimulators. Information from the workshop will be used to develop a science-based framework of recommendations for evaluating such devices, the agency says. The workshop will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the FDA’s White Oak campus in Silver Spring, Md.
