China’s Department of Health Issues Device Alert for Cannulae

The Chinese Department of Health has issued a field safety notice for Medtronic International’s DLPR single stage venous cannulae. The company is updating the instructions for use after two deaths during use in ventricular assist procedures, which are outside the indications for use.
