House Republicans Schedule Hearings on PDUFA, GDUFA

The health subcommittee of the House Energy and Commerce Committee plans hearings next month on the Prescription Drug User Fee Act (PDUFA), the Generic Drug User Fee Act (GDUFA) and the Medical Device User Fee Act (MDUFA). The hearings come in advance of congressional reauthorization of PDUFA and MDUFA later this year. First up on Feb. 1 is reauthorization of PDUFA, which expires Sept. 30. FDA Commissioner Margaret Hamburg will testify at the hearing.
