Hospira Recalls One Painkiller Lot After Manufacturing Mishaps

Hospira is recalling one lot of its morphine sulfate injection after finding manufacturing irregularities. The company fielded a customer report that two Carpuject syringes, which deliver the drug, contained more than the appropriate fill volume. The event is likely isolated and Hospira is investigating the root cause, it said.
