Intuitive Surgical Sees Shares Drop on Warning Letter, Weak Sales

Intuitive Surgical’s announcement of an expected warning letter brought the company’s shares down in recent days. The surgical robot maker disclosed the July 16 warning letter in its latest quarterly report. The letter followed a Form 483 filed after a spring inspection of the company’s Alameda, Calif., plant that found repeated field corrections had been taken without alerting the FDA.
