AngioDynamics Launches BioFlo Midline Catheter

August 5, 2015

AngioDynamics announced the launch of the BioFlo midline catheter indicated for short-term intravenous therapies after receiving FDA clearance earlier this year.

The catheter often delivers the same medications as a peripheral intravenous catheter and can provide access to the venous system for up to 30 days.

Midline catheters can be used for purposes such as the administration of fluids, medications and nutrients, the sampling of blood and for power injections of contrast media, according to the company.

AngioDynamics, based in Albany, N.Y., produces minimally invasive medical devices for vascular access, surgery, peripheral vascular disease and oncology. —Michael Cipriano
