Novo Nordisk to Build New Facility in Denmark

Diabetes care company Novo Nordisk has announced plans to build a new facility in Hillerød, Denmark for producing medicines for the treatment of diabetes and obesity.

The facility, in which the company is investing around $302 million to construct, is expected to be operational in 2019 and create 450 new production and engineering jobs.

The new insulin filling facility will ensure production capacity for existing and future products within diabetes, according to the company. — Michael Cipriano
