Ascensia Launches Wireless Blood Glucose Monitoring System

Ascensia’s Contour Next Link 2.4 blood glucose monitoring system recently secured FDA approval and the company is preparing to launch the device, Ascenia announced Thursday.

The wireless device — which is meant to be used in conjuction with the Medtronic MiniMed 630G system — is designed to send accurate blood glucose results for calibration and insulin dosing.

The lab study indicated that 99 percent of results obtained with the wireless device were within 10 percent of the yield sugar index reference results. — Cynthia Jessup
