Becton Dickinson to Close N.C. Plant, Resulting in a 120 Dismissal

Dec. 5, 2016

Becton Dickinson is shutting down its Creedmoor, N.C. plant and laying off the 120 workers that work there.

The decision to close the location was reportedly based on increasing efficiency, and not on plant performance.

The facility production will be consolidated to existing facilities, with assembly jobs moving to Tijuana and Nogales, Mexico and molding work will be transferred to Sandy, Utah. — Cynthia Jessup
