Ophtec Wins CE Mark for Precizon Presbyopic

May 19, 2017

Netherlands–based Ophtec has received a CE mark for its Precizon Presbyopic intraocular lens.

The lens uses continuous transitional zones to treat presbyopia, a condition associated with aging that reduces the ability to focus clearly on close objects.

The lens tolerates misalignment when the natural lens no longer changes shape as it once did and helps patients adapt to the change.

The device will be launched in October 2017. — Cynthia Jessup
