VISION, MEDTRONIC ENTER DISTRIBUTION AGREEMENT

Medical devicemaker Vision Sciences has entered a distribution agreement with a unit of Medtronic for its Flexible Cystoscope with Slide-On EndoSheath System.

Under the agreement, Medtronic will be the exclusive North American distributor of Vision Sciences' line of cystoscopy for use in urology and urogynecology procedures. Cystoscopes are optical devices that are inserted in the urethra.

The agreement is the second between the company and Medtronic. The company entered into a distribution agreement with Medtronic's Xomed ears, nose and throat unit in August 2003.
