ACETO MAKES FORAY INTO DRUG PRODUCTION

Specialty chemical distributor Aceto is making its first major foray into drug production, through a deal with Three Rivers Pharmaceuticals to bring three generic products to market. The deal calls for Lake Success, L.I.-based Aceto to source the active pharmaceutical ingredients, manage the regulatory and quality control functions of production, and supply the final dosage form of the products to Three Rivers.
