MITSUI, MEDICAL SYSTEM NETWORK TO ESTABLISH JOINT VENTURE FOR DISTRIBUTION OF ETHICAL DRUGS

Mitsui has announced that it will establish a joint venture with Medical System Network Feb. 14. To be capitalized at 200 million yen ($1.5 million), MM Net will distribute and sell ethical drugs. Specifically, the new company will provide information and financial services to drug wholesalers, dispensing pharmacies and hospitals. Medical System Network will own 51 percent of the new company, and Mitsui the remainder.
