Torrent Pharma and AstraZeneca Sign R&D Pact

Torrent Pharmaceuticals has signed a research collaboration agreement with the U.S.-based AstraZeneca. The collaboration aims at discovering a novel drug candidate for the treatment of hypertension, Torrent Pharmaceuticals said in a statement. As per the agreement, Torrent Pharmaceuticals and AstraZeneca will fund the research project jointly in equal proportion.
