CardioTech Announces Launch of Interventional Cardiology Start-Up

CardioTech International announced that CorNova has successfully completed its Series A financing of $3 million, enabling CorNova to continue executing its business plan.

CorNova has already made progress toward the planned international launch of its metallic nanocoated coronary stent system, scheduled for later this year. CardioTech, along with Implant Sciences, has previously made a strategic investment in CorNova.

CorNova plans an international launch of its nanocoated coronary stent system using an design utilizing an advanced base metal alloy. The stent will then be nanocoated with a biocompatible, radio-opaque metallic nanocoating utilizing Implant Sciences' proprietary MicroFusion technology. CorNova believes that the combination of an alloy base plus a radio-opaque nanocoating, will represent one of the most advanced stent systems available.
