Biotech Company Attracts Funding From Investors in Northeast

After recently completing a fundraising round, Potentia Pharmaceuticals Inc. now has the cash to fuel the startup biotechnology company's growth. Last week, the four-year-old company closed a $2.6 million angel-investor-driven financing round, said Cedric Francois, the company's co-founder, president and CEO. The financing is "crucial in terms of being able to grow" the company, which is developing and testing treatments for macular degeneration, cancer and other illnesses.
