FDA Looking to Import Teva Drug After Another Bedford Recall
Bedford Laboratories is voluntarily recalling three lots of its chemotherapy drug leucovorin calcium after receiving complaints of crystalline particulates in a small number of vials. The offending flecks are bits of active drug, not debris, the company says. Customers and healthcare providers that received product from the three lots, which were shipped between January and June of 2011, have been instructed by the injectable-drug company not to use the product and immediately quarantine it for return.
