The FDA has appointed a former brand-drug industry executive for the long-vacant top spot at Office of Generic Drugs (OGD). Gregory Geba, former Sanofi deputy chief medical officer, has taken the helm. Geba’s experience at Sanofi appears to have centered on development of branded drugs. A staff memo from Office of Pharmaceutical Science (OPS) Director Helen Winkle notes he has contributed to the registration of more than 20 currently marketed drugs or devices.
