The European Medicines Agency (EMA) states in Chapter 5 of EudraLex that production operations must follow clearly defined procedures and comply with the principles of good manufacturing practices (GMPs) to obtain products of good quality and that are in accordance with the relevant manufacturing and marketing authorizations.
