Decline Expected in Pharma DTC Media (World of DTC Marketing blog)
“One of the aftershocks from some top brands coming off patent is the decline in pharma media spending, which declined 8.8 percent from 2009 to 2010 and is expected to decline well into 2013,” blogger Rich Meyer writes. He advises DTC marketers to really study how consumers research healthcare decisions. “I believe that the traditional DTC marketing model is on life support and the plug should be pulled,” he writes. “Those marketers who believe that TV is the answer are only fooling themselves.”
