Ontario Innovation Pilot Sees Early Success, Looks for More Applicants
A public-private partnership looking to speed introduction and coverage of new medical technologies in Canada is expanding, as three devices involved in the initial phase of the program are being readied for premarket evaluation to build evidence for approval and adoption. Three of seven original candidates in the pilot are set to begin comprehensive evaluations aimed at building evidence to support licensing and reimbursement reviews, Karen Greve Young, director of strategic initiatives at MaRS Discovery District in Toronto, said.
