MEDCAC VAD Questions Pose Little Threat to Devicemakers

Questions announced this month for a November meeting on the future of Medicare coverage for ventricular assist devices (VAD) appear to give devicemakers little to worry about, one analyst says. The Nov. 14 Medicare Evidence Development & Coverage Advisory Committee (MEDCAC) meeting will review current evidence on the use of VADs to manage heart failure.
