Generic-Drug Industry Cites Reports in Call for Regulatory Reform

The European Generic medicines Association (EGA) praised a preliminary report by the European Commission (EC) on inefficiencies in the pharmaceutical market and urged the EC to consider drug regulation changes to close loopholes that allow originator companies to delay introduction of “me too” drugs through lengthy patent disputes.
