Funding for Devices, CER Included in Stimulus Bill

The U.S. House has approved a stimulus bill that includes $4.1 billion in funding that could affect devicemakers by making more money available for diagnostic devices for HIV, influenza and other diseases; biomedical research into cancer, Alzheimer’s disease and other conditions; and comparative effectiveness research (CER) of treatments, including devices.
