Improper Trial Randomization Leads to Physician Warning
The FDA has warned a physician for failing to
ensure subjects were properly randomized before surgery in a clinical trial. The warning stems
from a May 4 to 6 inspection of Tuscaloosa, Ala.-based physician Craig Buettner. It cites him for randomizing some subjects after surgery, as opposed to
before surgery, in violation of the protocol.
