FDA 2010 Priorities Include Push for Industry to Ensure Quality
The FDA plans to demand that the drug
industry take more responsibility this year for quality control throughout the production cycle, Brian Hasselbalch and Steven Wolfgang of CDER’s Office of Compliance say. The agency’s
priorities include seeking increased vigilance by drugmakers in detecting shifts in the manufacturing process that could affect product specifications
and taking prompt corrective action, they said.
