FDA’s 2011 Budget Request Tops $4 Billion, Seeks Increase in Staff
The FDA is requesting a $4.03
billion budget for fiscal 2011, a 23 percent increase, mostly from user fees, over the agency’s current budget. CDER
would receive $850 million, with $352 million coming from budget allocation and $498 million coming from user fees, according to the budget request released
by the FDA Monday. The center would receive an increase of 133 full-time equivalent (FTE) employees for a total of 3,214 FTEs.
