NHLBI Contracts Awarded to Test Pediatric Circulatory Devices

The National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) has initiated the next phase of a program to develop circulatory support devices for infants and
children with congenital or acquired cardiovascular disease, NIH says. It awarded four contracts for a four-year program to test five new ventricular-assist
devices and advanced extracorporeal membrane oxygenator devices whose development was funded by NHLBI’s Pediatric Circulatory Support Program.
