Plaintiffs Claim Pfizer Papers May Reveal Delay of Generics
Plaintiffs in a class action antitrust lawsuit
against Pfizer are asking the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey to review company documents, saying they may show the drugmaker wrongfully
tried to delay generic competition for its epilepsy drug Neurontin. If a court review finds evidence of crime or fraud in papers related to Pfizer’s
applications for FDA Orange Book patent listings for Neurontin (gabapentin), the documents could be used at trial, the plaintiffs claim. The court is scheduled
to hear the motion next week.
