The Justice Department has been given the green light to join a whistle-blower lawsuit accusing St. Jude Medical of setting up sham clinical trials in a kickback scheme. U.S. District Judge Douglas Woodlock has granted Justice’s request to join the 2006 lawsuit filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts by Charles Donigian, a former technical service specialist at St. Jude. Justice must file its complaint by Aug. 31.
