US Lawmakers Want to Give FDA Broader Powers for Foreign Activities

Given increasing concerns with the quality and integrity of drug products manufactured overseas, a group of U.S. congressmen is floating a draft of a bill that would give the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) broader powers and bring the agency’s inspections of foreign plants in line with U.S.-based ones.
