Scorecard: Emerging Markets Building Capacity to Push Device Innovation
While the large national players in device technology lost a bit of their edge, Brazil, China and India made big gains in the past five years in improving their capacity to adapt to the changing nature of device innovation, according to a new report. Of nine countries with strong medical technology markets, those three countries showed the greatest improvements in innovation capacity, while countries such as Germany, the UK and the U.S. saw their capacities shrink, according to a medical technology innovation scorecard released last month by PwC, formerly PricewaterhouseCoopers.
