Chile Could See New Drug Agency Under Proposed Reforms
Chile’s pharmaceutical industry could see a new drug regulatory agency under recent proposals to improve regulation, but an industry analyst argues the country is unlikely to make big changes anytime soon. In late-May, Chile President Sebastian Pinera unveiled government proposals for the next fiscal year, including the creation of a new Chilean drug regulatory agency, the Agencia Nacional de Medicamentos (Anamed).
