U.S. Must Work With Developing Nations to Ensure Safer Imports, IOM Says
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and other agencies must provide expertise, training and tools to developing nations to improve their pharma monitoring practices and prevent dangerous drugs and medical products from entering the U.S., according to an April 4 Institute of Medicine (IOM) report. The recommendation is one of 13 suggested steps to strengthen regulatory systems abroad.
