FDA Suggests Uniform Labeling to Protect the Latex-Allergic
The FDA is urging more precise labeling to improve the safety of medical products for people with latex sensitivity, according to a March 11 draft guidance. Estimates show as many as 10 percent of the U.S. population may experience some latex sensitivity, with the proportion slightly greater among health professionals who routinely wear latex gloves, the FDA says.
