Mallinckrodt Pays DOJ $3.5 Million to Settle Kickbacks Case
Mallinckrodt agreed to pay the U.S. government $3.5 million to settle allegations of kickbacks to doctors, becoming the latest drugmaker to be in the spotlight over illicit payments. The settlement, announced Thursday by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of California, relates to a whistleblower suit filed by a former employee in 2008.
