Research Group Calls for More Risk-Based Approach to Trials
Researchers writing in the New England Journal of Medicine are calling for a more risk-based approach to regulating clinical trials and changes to regulatory systems to remove hurdles to medical research. The authors of the article, “Randomized Clinical Trials — Removing Unnecessary Obstacles,” argue the regulatory frameworks developed from global, harmonized guidelines have created bloated bureaucracies.
