CDER Releases MAPP on Staff Involvement in Public-Private Partnerships
To ensure consistency, CDER has established procedures and policies for staff to receive clearance to participate in public-private partnerships.
The manual of policies and procedures (MAPP) includes responsibilities for staff specifically engaged in collaborative activities with non-profit and for-profit organizations.
Employees seeking to join a partnership should submit a formal request to the FDA, the document states. A center director must approve all CDER involvement in these partnerships, before a staff member commits to an activity.
