June 29, 2018

Embolx received 510(k) clearance for its Sniper balloon occlusion microcatheter, used for performing pressure-oriented arterial embolization therapy.

The microcatherer comes in three lengths — 110 cm, 130 cm and 150 cm — allowing radiologist physicians to reach either femoral or radial arterial sites.

Sniper’s balloon and atraumatic tip designs have been improved to allow the occlusion of larger vessels and enhanced tracking inside vessels.
