MHRA Seizes Over $2 Million in Fake Drugs in Operation Pangea

The UK’s Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency seized more than $2 million worth of fake medicines as part of Operation Pangea.

MHRA officers searched airports and mail delivery facilities, which led to the removal of numerous packages containing illegal drugs and devices. They also raided properties connected to an illegal online supplier.

The Interpol initiative brought together 116 countries to target illegal online drug distributors. The worldwide effort has led to 859 arrests and nearly $14 million in illegal products seized.
