A&E Medical’s Thorecon Rigid Fixation System Cleared
The FDA cleared A&E Medical’s Thorecon rigid fixation system for use in stabilizing and fixating fractures of the anterior chest wall.
The system can be used in sternal fixation after a patient undergoes a sternotomy or in sternal reconstructive surgical procedures.
The system features an “amorphous” cable that can be used without additional instrumentation. The cable expands in width when tensioned, creating greater surface area on the bone.
