Merz and Cytophil have settled a patent dispute over Cytophil's Renu Voice, a resorbable implant for patients with vocal fold paralysis.  

Under the settlement, Merz has granted Cytophil a license that covers the remaining ten months of the patent. Cytophil subsidiary RegenScientific has been selling Renu Voice in the United States for several years. 

Cytophil is also seeking an investigational device exemption from the  FDA for its Renu Dermal Filler for aesthetic soft tissue augmentation.
